Jesuit Theologian Bill Clark to Speak in Maine

"The Role of the Laity in Today's Church"
Fr. Clark to Speak in Saco on
Jan. 22 & Calais on Feb. 2
On Wed., Jan. 22nd, at 7 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church, 271
Main St., Saco, Maine, the Rev. William J. Clark, S.J., S.T.D.,
will deliver the first of two highly informative talks. Sponsored
by Voice of the Faithful (VOTF-Maine), Fr. Clark will speak on "The
Role of the Laity in the Roman Catholic Church in the 21st Century."
At the request of the Washington County Catholic Deanery, Fr. Clark
will speak on the same timely subject on Sun., Feb., 2, at 2 p.m.,
at Immaculate Conception Church, 17 Calais Ave., Calais, Maine.
A noted Jesuit academic and theologian, Fr. Clark is Assistant
Professor of Religious Studies at the College of the Holy Cross
in Worcester, Mass. Fr. Clark holds degrees from Williams College,
Loyola University of Chicago, and the Weston Jesuit School of Theology.
He has written extensively on the continuing significance of the
declarations of Vatican II, particularly as they pertain to the
rightful function of parish-level faithful in their ministry as
a People of God.
