Suzanne Morse, Communications Manager to take New Career
Opportunity
Dear Leaders,
I’m sorry to report that Suzanne Morse, our communications manager,
has decided to take on a new career opportunity. Although I am happy for
Suzanne as she begins a new stage in her professional development she will
be sorely missed here at VOTF. I’ve only had the pleasure of working
with her for a little while but from day one I’ve been impressed
with Suzanne’s commitment, drive, openness and reasoned approach.
Enclosed is a note from Suzanne since she’s unable to contact you
all in person or by telephone.
During this interim period we will rely on the existing talented staff
and the many enthusiastic volunteers while we look to fill this position
quickly on an interim basis until we can conduct a more formal hire.
Please join me in thanking Suzanne for her significant contributions to
this movement over the past 18 months. We wish her all the best in her
new position and of course we’ll count on her continued membership
in VOTF!
Peace,
Ray Joyce
Executive Director
Dear Friends,
I am writing to let you know that I will be leaving my position as Communications Manager of Voice of the Faithful, as of June 30, 2005. I have accepted a position at O’Neill and Associates, a public and government relations firm in Boston.
In the past year and a half, I have had the opportunity to serve all of you in our mission to heal the Church through one of the most difficult periods in its long history. It has been an amazing experience, through tremendous ups and downs, and one that I will always cherish. From seeing Tim Russert ask Cardinal McCarrick on Meet
the Press for reaction to our ad in The
New York Times to eagerly arriving every morning to see how many new signatories we had to our petitions to gathering with all of you on Boston Common to witnessing the parish vigils to hearing your thoughts and prayers regarding the Pope, I have had the opportunity to witness, and be a part of, something truly historic. For that, I thank all of you.
For me, the most valuable part of the experience has been to work with some of the most dedicated, intelligent, and thoughtful people both this country, and this Church, has to offer. I have worked with so many of you – in the office, in the working groups, and in the affiliates – in so many different ways. I will miss very much the opportunity to share the ideas, the energy, and the care for our church that have often sustained me through the many challenges we face.
I know that I have been given a tremendous gift in the opportunity that I had to serve Voice of the Faithful and its members. It is not often that an individual is presented with the occasion of working within a social movement, helping to find our voice on issues that are so important to all of us, recognizing our responsibilities as Catholics, standing with the survivors who have been so wounded by the actions of the Church, and to feel the Holy Spirit be a part of one’s daily work life. I know that I will look back on this experience as one of the most important and spiritual events of my life.
Thank you again – you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Suzanne N. Morse
