VOTF Attends AUSCP Assembly

VOTF Executive Director Donna B. Doucette and members Svea Fraser and Mary Freeman traveled to Chicago at the end of June to present a colloquium on Clericalism at the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests 2016 Assembly. While there, they also attended the Vespers of Hope service, which Donna helped prepare—a Vespers expressing contrition for the sexual abuse of children within the church.

We’ve set up links to the summaries on keynote speakers at the Assembly, on the text of the Vespers Service, on the handouts for the Clericalism colloquium, and on Svea’s summary of our experiences. We trust you will find them both informational and inspirational.

Collaboration with priests who seek to continue the work initiated with Vatican II are key partners in raising our voices for governance and guidance of the Church.
