a dialogue in Washington, DC in 2003 entitled “The Church in America: The
Way Forward in the 21st Century.” It was hosted by Cardinal Theodore E.
McCarrick, the archbishop of Washington. Jim Post received from Mr. Boisi a comprehensive
packet summarizing the day’s discussions. Boisi also commissioned the Zogby
International poll “The Views of American Catholics and Opinion Leaders
on Issues Regarding the Catholic Church.” A summary of the Zogby survey
appears in the report. The full text of the Boisi report is available on line
through www.bc.edu/boisi. Click on the home page at “The Church in America.”
