2010 National Election ResultsThe Board of Trustees appointed the undersigned as an Elections Committee to organize and oversee the 2010 election of national Officers. After reporting the results to the Board of Trustees, the Elections Committee is pleased to announce the new VOTF Officers. They will assume their positions on March 15, 2010.
The voting results are as follows:
In total, 612 members cast ballots, which was 20.5 % of the total ballots sent out. Of the members who voted, 53 submitted optional comments on their ballot, with the vast majority expressing great satisfaction with the election process. A link to these comments with names and other identifying information removed will be available shortly on the VOTF website.
The Elections Committee has notified the Board of Trustees that the elections process as carried out by our vendor, Vote Now, was successful and that it complied with the Board’s charge to conduct a secure election with integrity.
The Elections Committee would like to thank Executive Director Donna Doucette and the members of the VOTF staff who worked tirelessly to assist us in establishing the VOTF elections website, recording candidate interviews and making sure that members had the maximum opportunity to vote. We also thank all members who voted in this important election. We will prepare a report to the Board of Trustees on the lessons learned from this election process and recommendations for improving the next election.
Respectfully,
VOTF 2010 National Elections Committee
