VOLUSIA VOICE OF THE FAITHFUL
A special event at 2 P.M., Sunday, April 25, 2010
At the Ormond Beach Public Library

Kathleen MacInnis Kichline is the author of Sisters in Scripture: Exploring the Relationships of Biblical Women. She earned her Masters of Divinity from Seattle University and has served as a Pastoral Associate of a large suburban Seattle parish for over twenty years. Sisters in Scripture was originally created for the women of her parish and has successfully provided a means for them, and now many others, to grow in appreciation of the Bible, learn from one another and enrich their faith.

Her presentation, “Empowering Women to Find Their Story and Voice in Scripture,” highlights the liberating effect of God’s Word as well as the challenges it presents.  Kathleen draws from the many stories of faith she has encountered in her ministry and works interactively with participants as they look at the stories and experiences of women in the bible to discover meaning for their own lives.

Recently Kathleen has taken on the role of convener for Voice of the Faithful’s new Women’s Initiative. At this critical juncture in the life of the Church, the voices and gifts of women are needed as never before. The Women’s Initiative is still in its formative stages but there is amazing energy and wisdom to be tapped into and VOTF is anxious to hear what women have to say.
