Christian Spiritual Practices:
Drawing from the Storeroom Both
the Old and the New
For Christians throughout time, one way of fostering relationship with and experiencing the living Christ has been through engaging spiritual practices. Our faith tradition is full of rich practices that have the potential to orient the faith lives of contemporary Christians in meaningful ways. Some of these practices have deep historical roots but are little known. Others are long revered practices that have come to assume new meaning, having been adapted in varied contexts. In conjunction with the Spring 2009 issue of C21 Resources, this workshop provides access to old and new spiritual practices found in our vast Christian storeroom.
Presenter Colleen Griffith is Director of Spirituality Studies for the IREPM Department and Adjunct Associate Professor of Theology, Boston College STM.
Dr. Griffith served as Editor of the Spring 2009 C21 Resources on Catholic Spirituality in Practice.
