Most Americans understand this. Consider what happened to the leaders of Morgan Stanley, AIG, General Motors, and Chrysler, to name a few, and the reform legislation working its way through congress. The same thing needs to happen in the Catholic Church, and that is what reform groups (which those in power always try to label as dissident) like VOTF are striving to accomplish, nothing more.
