OFFICE Notes
Michael Rafferty, an experienced fundraiser, has been added to the VOTF
staff for a short-term project to assist in the fiscal year end (May 31,
2007) appeal. Michael, who has been involved in volunteer activities with
the VOTF for many years, will also help plan and implement the development
strategy for major donors and the outreach to private and public foundations
and grants.
These are activities that until now have been the responsibility of the
Executive Director and it is now the feeling of the Board of Trustees and
the Officers of VOTF that these areas require the undivided attention of
a fundraising professional.
Michael began his duties two weeks ago and will remain on staff until as
least the end of this fiscal year. Work has started with the development
committee and other leaders and volunteers to begin these development activities.
