Voice of the Faithful Northern New Jersey (continued)
As noted in a January 2007 article in Commonweal Magazine, The Future of Christology (Continuum 2005) is a collection of essays that reprises many of the themes put forth in Fr. Haight's earlier book, Jesus Symbol of God.

Currently a Scholar in Residence at Union Theological Seminary in New York, Fr. Haight is a past president of the Catholic Theological Society of America. He has a doctorate in theology from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago and has taught throughout the United States and abroad.

Theologian Elizabeth Johnson, the Commonweal article further notes, has praised Haight for setting up a "dialogue between the mind of this age and the riches of Christian Scripture and tradition," one that "allows for (a) genuinely new expression of Jesus intelligible in today's world."
