VOTF Faith Formation Program: Dr. Pheme Perkins (continued)
Dr. Perkins will explore early Christian experiences of the Holy Spirit in transforming believers in Christ and the importance of the Holy Spirit in the communal life and worship of Christian communities.
Dr, Perkins is the author of many books and articles, most recently Introduction to the Synoptic Gospels (2007) and her commentary on First Corinthians will appear in the Paideia series published by Baker Books (2010). She is also working on a revision of her best selling Reading the New Testament (1988) and a commentary on the “Gospel of Thomas”. This noted professor and writer was the first woman to serve as president of the Catholic Biblical Association of America.
