Sts. Perpetua and Felicity
These early Christian martyrs from Carthage embraced death together rather than deny their faith. Their close friendship is witnessed in how their names are seemingly entwined in our lexicon: speaking the name “Perpetua” brings to mind the name “Felicity.” In their close relationship and shared belief in Christ they walked together throughout their short lives. May the faith of these two saints lead us today as we continue on our Lenten journey to Easter Sunday.
