2008 VOTF National Election Committee Sponsors
Candidate Discussion Forums
January 31, 2008 - The Elections Committee of Voice of the Faithful (VOTF) will sponsor a series of forums during the week of February 4-8 featuring the candidates for VOTF national office. The forums will be broadcast live on VOTF’s 2008 election website http://votfelection.com/, with separate hour-long broadcasts for each office: Feb. 4 for the vice president candidates; Feb. 6 for those running for secretary and for treasurer; and Feb. 8 for those running for president.
Elections Committee member Joseph Juhasz will moderate all the candidate discussions. Prof. Juhasz is a Professor of Architecture and Environmental Design at the University of Colorado. He is also a member of the VOTF National Representative Council, representing members in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
VOTF members will utilize web browsers (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox) and the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player (a free download from the web) to watch the forums. For those who cannot use the Internet, VOTF also is providing free audio-only coverage of the discussions.
During the forums, listeners may submit questions to the candidates via the website. If candidates don’t have time to respond during the live discussion, there will be opportunities after the forums to address such questions.
“This Internet forum is a first for our organization,” said Mary Pat Fox, VOTF President. “It is a further example of our efforts to keep our members informed and involved with the affairs of our organization.”
